Kyiv simplified stay on territory of Ukraine of foreigners, stateless persons who arrived in Ukraine to work as correspondents or foreign media

May 27, 2022, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted Resolution № 627 “Some issues of stay on the territory of Ukraine of foreigners and stateless persons who came to Ukraine to work as a correspondent or representative of foreign media.”

The decree stipulates that for the period of martial law and for 30 days after its abolition or termination, foreigners and stateless persons who came to Ukraine to work as correspondents or representatives of foreign media will not be subject to restrictions* regarding the terms of temporary stay in the territory of Ukraine. For this purpose, foreign journalists will be required to be accredited in the prescribed manner for media representatives during the martial law regime.

According to the adopted resolution, the Ministry of Defense will constantly inform the Administration of the State Border Guard Service and the State Migration Service about the representatives of the mass media who have been accredited in accordance with the established procedure.

The resolution enters into force on May 31, 2022.
