Iceland will take part in the Crimean Platform summit

Another NATO country, Iceland, has confirmed its participation in the Crimean Platform summit. Of the 30 countries in the alliance, only Albania has not yet confirmed its participation in the founding summit.

UA reports this with reference to the “Liga” website.

“Another country confirmed its participation in the Crimean Platform summit. This is Iceland. A member of NATO” – said Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Igor Zhovkva.

Iceland will be represented at the level of its ambassador to Ukraine.

Currently there are 45 foreign delegations to be represented at the summit.

The Crimean Platform was initiated as an international coordination mechanism to return the issue of Crimea to the global agenda, protect human rights in Crimea and promote the de-occupation of the peninsula.

To remind, as of August 19 the number of the confirmed participants of the constituent summit of the Crimean platform increased to 44 states.
