The Ukrainian Constitution of Pylyp Orlyk and the mace of Hetman Ivan Mazepa – everyone can now see the unique artifacts. The exhibition in the national reserve “St. Sophia of Kyiv” opened August 17, UA informs.

The first Ukrainian Constitution and Mazepa’s mace were delivered from Sweden for the 30th anniversary of Independence Day.

According to Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, negotiations on the delivery of the original historical document lasted for about 13 years.

The exhibition will run until November 14.

“In the Constitution of Pylyp Orlyk it is stated very clearly that Ukraine can overcome Russia only in alliance with the Crimean Khanate. This is one of the foreign policy postulates of the constitution of Pylyp Orlyk. And therefore, I believe that the presence of the Constitution of Pylyp Orlyk, the original, in these days in Ukraine is also a sign” – the minister said.
