Germany will supply 5,000 helmets to Ukraine

Germany will supply 5,000 helmets to Ukraine, the German Defense Ministry has said, Interfax writes.

“Minister [Christine] Lambrecht today informed the Defense Committee in the German Bundestag about her plans in the legislature. She also made it clear that Germany is closely on the side of Ukraine. We will deliver 5,000 helmets to Ukraine, the equipment that is needed,” the ministry said in a statement released on Twitter on Wednesday.

To remind, German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbok said that now it is important to prevent further escalation of the situation around Ukraine, while avoiding questions about the possibility of supplying defense weapons to Kyiv.
