The death toll from Russia’s massive overnight attack on Kyiv on July 2 has risen to 30 after one of the injured died in hospital and rescuers recovered three more bodies from beneath the rubble, Ukraine’s State Emergency Service (SES) said.

Search and rescue operations are continuing at the impact sites as emergency crews work through the debris.

“A significant part of the rubble has already been cleared, but 10 people are still unaccounted for. The search operation will continue for as long as necessary,” President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

Nearly 100 people were injured in the attack, including children.

July 3 has been declared a Day of Mourning in Kyiv to honor the victims of Russia’s strike on the Ukrainian capital.
