Celebrating the Architecture of Ukrainian Universities: Part Four

The Ivan Franko National University of Lviv is fourth in our series about the architecture of Ukrainian universities.

It is listed as an official architectural monument of Ukraine. The building was important to the regional rulers in the days of the Austrian Empire.

It was built at the end of the 19th century. The building’s structure resembles the architecture in Vienna, Austria. It became a university in the first half of the 20th century.

Its interiors continue to amaze those who enter the building today.
