The Conservative Party of Canada, the largest opposition party in the country, promises to start supplying lethal defensive weapons to Ukraine if it wins the upcoming federal elections.

The political force’s electoral program states that “Canadian conservatives will reconsider Canada’s contribution to NATO by strengthening Operation UNIFIER, a training mission of the Canadian Armed Forces in Ukraine, and by providing Ukraine with lethal weapons”.
Conservatives also promise to resume transmission of RADARSAT satellite images to Ukraine.
Earlier it was reported that the opposition included visa-free travel with Ukraine in the election platform in Canada.
Besides, Canada has announced large-scale financial assistance to Ukraine.
