German Chancellor Angela Merkel will come to Kyiv to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The visit will take place on August 22.
This was informed by the adviser to the head of the President’s Office Mykhailo Podolyak, Liga.net reports.
According to him, the visit of the Chancellor is being prepared at the working level.
It is planned that Angela Merkel and Volodymyr Zelenskyy will discuss the situation in Donbas.
“Angela Merkel’s visit to Ukraine will take place on August 22, which has already been confirmed by the German side. Now the visit is being prepared at the working level. We have no doubt that it will be very productive. The thematic content of the visit is quite transparent. These are both issues related to peace talks in Donbas and issues related to security in a broader sense, including in the gas sector” – he said.
Earlier it was reported that during the visit of Volodymyr Zelenskyy to the United States, which is scheduled for August 30, three blocks of issues will be discussed: political, economic and security.
