In December 2021, the Ministry for Veterans Affairs of Ukraine will hold an All-Ukrainian Veterans’ Forum in Kramatorsk, Donetsk region.

This was announced by the Minister for Veterans Affairs of Ukraine Yuliia Laputina, UA writes.

“We want to hear from communities and veterans in communities about the problems existing in a decentralized environment where the central government cannot influence community development. At the forum, we will discuss the relationship between central and local government and the veterans environment. We are also planning to develop certain mechanisms for further cooperation and, possibly, amendments to the regulatory framework. We want the community to understand that the local authorities are also responsible for veterans policies” – Laputina said.

The event will take place within the framework of interaction with veterans’ organizations in eastern Ukraine, with the support of the Democratic Governance in Eastern Ukraine project, which is being implemented with the assistance of USAID. To remind, the Ministry for Veterans Affairs of Ukraine has begun testing the Unified State Register of War Veterans and the Veteran’s Electronic Cabinet. It is planned to be fully launched by the end of 2021.
