A school for children of Crimean Tatars was opened near Kyiv

A school for children of Crimean Tatars was opened near Kyiv on the basis of the Crimean Tatar cultural center BIRLIK.

This was reported by the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Rustem Umerov on Facebook, UA  informs.

“We have opened a new modern school for 100 children of the Crimean Tatars, where they can study in the Crimean Tatar language. In the village of Chaiky near Kyiv. New modern school for Crimean Tatars. It operates on the basis of the Crimean Tatar cultural and educational center BIRLIK” – he says.

Umerov added that all disciplines are taught in Ukrainian and English. In addition to the children of the Crimean Tatars, children of “all nationalities and confessions” will be able to study there.

According to Rustem Umerov, quality education is an important component of the de-occupation and reintegration of Crimea.
