North Korean authorities delivered on a promise given by their leader Kim Jong Un during a meeting in Singapore on June 12 with United States President Donald Trump to return the remains of US soldiers back to the US.

The bodies of about two hundred American servicemen who fell during the Korean War were returned, Trump claimed during a rally with his political supporters in Duluth, Minnesota.

“We got back our great fallen heroes, the remains sent back today, already 200 got sent back,” Trump told the crowd.

As reported by CNN, the Defense Department estimates that the bodies of several thousand American servicemen remain in North Korea.
