A large-scale drone attack targeted Russian-occupied Crimea overnight on July 4, forcing the temporary closure of the Kerch Bridge and triggering fires at several strategic sites, according to OSINT monitoring channels, UATV English reports..
The strikes reportedly began around 11:00 p.m. local time and continued until at least 2:00 a.m.
Explosions were reported across the peninsula, while fires broke out at the Novotroitsk Wind Power Plant, the Russian military air base in Dzhankoi, and the Krym ferry terminal in Kerch.
A vehicle transporting 200 liters of gasoline from Russia’s Taman Peninsula also caught fire during the attack.
The Russian-installed occupation authorities had not officially commented on the reported damage at the time of publication.
The attack comes as Ukraine continues to intensify its long-range strike campaign against Russian military and logistics infrastructure in occupied Crimea and inside Russia. Earlier this year, Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces reported a 1,150% increase in successful strikes against operational and strategic targets deep behind enemy lines.
