Ukrainian long-range drones struck Russian oil infrastructure near St. Petersburg and military targets in Kronstadt overnight, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmedUATV English reports.

“Last night, our Ukrainian long-range sanctions against Russia for this war were successfully carried out near St. Petersburg. Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck port oil infrastructure that finances Russia’s war, and there were also hits on Kronstadt, an important military target,” Zelenskyy said.

According to the president, the targeted facilities are located more than 850 kilometers from Ukraine’s state border.

The strikes are part of Ukraine’s ongoing campaign against Russia’s military and energy infrastructure deep inside the country.

Earlier reports said Russia’s fuel crisis has continued to worsen, affecting not only motorists but also public transportation. Authorities in 12 Russian regions have reportedly imposed restrictions on public transport operations due to gasoline shortages, while fuel prices continue to rise.
