Since July 27, 2020, since the entry into force of the Additional Measures to Strengthen the Ceasefire Regime, 66 Ukrainian soldiers have been killed and 275 wounded in shelling and armed provocations by the Russian side.
“In total, from July 27, 2020 to November 22, 2021, the Joint Forces of Ukraine registered 2,848 violations of the ceasefire by the Russian side. Of particular concern is the fact that in 759 cases the occupying forces used weapons prohibited by the Minsk agreements. As a result, 66 Ukrainian soldiers were killed and 275 were injured during this period” – Ukraine’s mission to the OSCE said during a meeting of the Forum for Security Co-operation on Wednesday, November 24.
Diplomats noted that over the past week, the situation in the conflict zone in eastern Ukraine has been marked by regular shelling and armed provocations by Russian occupation forces.
Positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were fired at 65 times, including 26 times with the use of weapons prohibited by the Minsk agreements. A 33-year-old Ukrainian fighter was wounded as a result of small arms fire near Prychepylivka.
