Ukraine plans to establish full-scale production of Bayraktar combat drones for the Armed Forces and exports abroad.

This is reported by UA with reference to Radio Liberty.

According to the Ambassador of Ukraine to Turkey Vasyl Bodnar, today the Turkish facilities for the production of Bayraktar drones are full, and Ankara is interested in opening a new factory.

“Work is already underway to allocate the appropriate land to begin substantive work on the construction of a storage and repair center. And also on a parallel track there are works on creation of production capacities and production of Bayraktars in Ukraine” – Bodnar said.

He also noted that the work is proceeding at a fairly fast pace, and it will take months, not years. Bodnar clarified that this is a full-scale production of drones from scratch.

“Many countries are now interested in Bayraktars. Therefore, additional production capacity of the full cycle is also in the interest of the Turkish side to develop new markets and jointly conduct tests, and later, perhaps, to train some foreign colleagues to master this technology and jointly shape the defense sphere” – Bodnar added.
