Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Michal, during which the two leaders signed a Joint Declaration on strengthening cooperation in the fields of security and defense, UATV English reports.
The document provides for security assistance, the exchange of experience, cooperation in the defense industry and air defense, as well as a joint commitment to developing multi-layered missile defense capabilities across Europe.

Ukraine and Estonia are also continuing work on a Drone Deal agreement. The draft document has already been submitted to the Estonian side for consideration.
Zelenskyy briefed the Estonian prime minister on Ukraine’s air-defense needs and ongoing cooperation with partners aimed at strengthening anti-ballistic protection across Europe. The president thanked Estonia for its contributions to the PURL program and expressed hope for continued support.
The leaders also discussed the importance of increasing sanctions pressure on Russia and preparations for the European Union’s 21st sanctions package. Zelenskyy stressed the need for tougher measures against Russia’s shadow fleet operating in the Baltic Sea.

Particular attention was devoted to Ukraine’s path toward membership in the European Union. The president noted that Ukraine expects all six EU accession negotiating clusters to be opened during June and July.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked Estonia and Prime Minister Kristen Michal personally for their support of Ukraine and awarded him the Order of Prince Yaroslav the Wise, Second Class.
