Twenty Ukrainian companies, who manufacture organic products, represented Ukraine at the Biofach International, in Nuremberg, Germany.
In addition, the Ukrainian official delegation, led by the Deputy Minister on European Integration, Olga Trofimsteva, held eight official meetings with representatives of European countries, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine reported.
“I am pleased to note that every year, the number of organic food manufacturers, who adequately represent their products at the national stand is increasing. Ukraine has not only raw materials but also more and more processed food products that are ready for sale on the shelves of supermarkets,” Trofimsteva said.
At the meetings held during the exhibition, concrete agreements were reached on direct and more effective cooperation between Ukraine and the EU.
Trofimsteva further said that the global market for organic products is growing drastically, and Ukraine has all the prerequisites for consolidating the market as a key supplier of certified organic products.
