U.S. President Donald Trump expressed confidence that the ruler of the Russian Federation feels pressure and wants the end of the Russian-Ukrainian war.
As UATV English reports, he said this while speaking with the media on July 6.
Trump was reminded of those killed as a result of the latest Russian strikes on Kyiv and was asked whether, in his opinion, the head of the Kremlin feels any pressure after their latest conversation.
“I think he really feels pressure. He wants to end it, and Ukraine wants to end it. We are in negotiations and will see whether it will be possible to end it. It is terrible,” the U.S. President said, after that again starting to recall how he “ended eight wars.”
“I think we are getting closer to this than anyone imagines, and President Putin wants to end it, I can say this very confidently. A very good call. And President Zelenskyy wants to end it now. We will head to the NATO summit and will also talk about this. I think we will be able to end it,” Trump added.
As is known, Kremlin head Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump held a telephone conversation on July 4.
It was reported that Trump will hold a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the sidelines of the NATO summit in Ankara this week.
