Measures continue on the territory of Belarus, the purpose of which is to increase the combat effectiveness of the troops and organize the interaction with the Russian military, which is deployed on the territory of this state. But there is no talk about the fact that somewhere in a week from the Belarusian direction someone will launch an attack on Ukraine. Sergey Grabsky, a military expert, and a participant in peacekeeping missions in Kosovo and Iraq, said this on the air of the FREEDOM TV channel.
“A set of measures continues on the territory of Belarus, which aims to increase, as they say, the combat readiness and combat capability of the Belarusian contingents, to organize the interaction with Russian troops that are redeployed or will be sent to Belarusian territory. But strike groups have not yet been deployed, and there is no talk of this, ”said Grabsky.
At the same time, he stressed that the so-called aerospace grouping of the joint forces of Belarus and Russia is being strengthened, which may pose a threat to the northern regions of Ukraine.
“Until mid-April, we observed constant and purposeful activities related precisely to increasing the combat readiness and combat capability of units that can operate from Belarus, including the deployment and strengthening of the so-called air or, rather, an aerospace grouping of the combined forces of Belarus and Russia, which may pose a threat to our northern regions. But there is no talk of someone launching an attack on Ukraine from the Belarusian direction in about a week,” the expert said.
Grabsky believes that there can be no talk of any independence in decision-making by the top military-political leadership of Belarus. They will follow the Kremlin’s orders, whether they like it or not.
“Practically all the top military-political leadership of Belarus, I emphasize, the military-political one has been trained in Russian academies, and therefore it is not a question of whether they want it or not, ready, not ready. They will follow the order that comes from the Kremlin. And there should not be any doubts, ”summed up Grabsky.
He clarified that at the level of Belarusian society such an idea as an attack on Ukraine is not welcomed. But don’t be under any illusions.
“They will chase – they will attack. They won’t go anywhere. There are no doubts here, no illusions should be entertained. As for whether Putin finished off Lukashenka or not, you just need to accept that Belarus is a territory occupied by Russia. Therefore, those statements that are made by the so-called military-political leadership are made within the framework of the overall strategy of the Kremlin. And there is no need to talk about Lukashenka’s independence in making decisions about the start or not of starting any military operations. That is, the time has not come, ”the expert noted.
