Britain provided intelligence data on the Skripal case to its allies, in order to persuade them to expel Russian diplomats from other European countries, UNN reported with reference to Bloomberg.

Sergei Skripal was a former Russian spy. On March 4, 2018, Skripal and his daughter were found unconscious on a bench, at the Salisbury shopping mall in England. They are still in  in critical condition.

British Prime Minister, Theresa May, will warn other EU leaders about Russia’s threat to Europe at a European Union summit in Brussels.

As of March 14, May took the decision to expel 23 Russian diplomats from the country. They have been given a week to leave. May said that these diplomats are “undeclared intelligence officers.” She has also revealed measures to freeze Russian assets, cut off high-level communication with Moscow, pass new anti-espionage powers and isolate Vladimir Putin at the United Nations.

British police stated that the investigation is likely to last for several months.
