A new wave of coronavirus pandemic is expected in Ukraine. According to experts, the incidence will increase significantly this fall – in October-November. This was stated by the Chief Sanitary Doctor of Ukraine Igor Kuzin in an interview to Ukrinform, UA reports.

Kuzin does not rule out that the increase in the number of new patients may occur earlier.

“Such an outbreak may have happened earlier, but now there is every opportunity to prevent it” – he said.

The chief sanitary doctor called on Ukrainians to vaccinate, as this is currently the only way to protect oneself from the severe course of the disease. The more people are vaccinated now, the less will be the burden on the country’s medical system during the new wave.

Besides, according to Kuzin, it depends on the responsible behavior of Ukrainians how quickly Ukraine enters the “yellow”, “orange” or “red” quarantine zone.
