Ukrainian Officers Participate in Trident Juncture Military Exercise

Ukrainian officers participate in the training within the framework of Trident Juncture 2018 NATO military exercise, the press service of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine reported.

Five Ukrainian officers have been taking part in the work of coalition’s headquarters since September. They have successfully completed stages of theoretical training and operational team training and will soon depart to carry out assignments in Naples, Rammstein and Stavanger.

Norway will be the central staging ground of Trident Juncture, NATO’s biggest military exercise since 2002. For a month starting on Oct. 25, 40 thousand troops from 30 countries will conduct air, sea and land operations from Finland and the Baltic Sea in the east, to Iceland in the west.

A command post exercise will be held in the end of November in the NATO administrative bodies and training centers from Campania, Italy, to Tromsø and Finnmark, Norway, according to the press service of Ukraine’s defense ministry.
