Strongmen set a national record for dragging AN-225 (PHOTOS)

Eight strongest athletes of the country have set a new record for dragging the ANTONOV-225 “Mriya” plane. The event took place on August 26 at the “Antonov” plant’s airport in the town of Gostomel in Kyiv region.

UA reports this citing the “Fakty”.

The record is dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Ukraine’s independence and the 75th anniversary of “Antonov” enterprise.

The record was observed by Vasyl Virastiuk and Serhiy Koniushok, who were the main judges.

The strongmen managed to pull the world’s largest plane by 4 meters 30 cm in 1 minute and 13 seconds.

The record was set by the following athletes: Serhiy Koniushok, Volodymyr Reksha, Oleksandr Lashyn, Bohdan Ksenchuk, Denys Dubrovskyi, Serhiy Ponomariov, Denys Berezhnyk and Vitaliy Gerasimov.

The weight of the world’s largest aircraft ANTONOV-225 “Mriya” (the Dream), loaded with fuel, is 330 tons.
