Russia is preparing to deploy nuclear weapons in the occupied Crimea. Russia also de facto occupied the Sea of Azov. This was announced on August 10, by Deputy Prime Minister – Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov, UA reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Reintegration.

“Russia has already de facto occupied the Sea of Azov and totally changed the balance in the Black Sea, completely militarizing it. We are concerned about the actions of the Russian Federation, which are aimed at preparing Crimea for the deployment of nuclear weapons there,” he said.

Also, the militarization of Crimea and the construction of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline threaten the Baltic countries.

“The three Baltic countries will find themselves under terrible pressure. Poland is also in direct threat. For Ukraine and the Baltic countries this is almost guaranteed escalation, and for the rest of Europe – total dependence in the future and guaranteed blackmail. I am convinced that it is necessary to strengthen sanctions against companies that embody this project, and prevent its launch,” the minister added.
