Private sector should become a driver of change in post-war Ukraine, – Prime Minister Shmyhal

The key vectors for the post-war development of Ukraine should be European integration, digitalization, defense industry, energy, agriculture, IT, construction and new infrastructure. This was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal in a statement at the Kyiv International Economic Forum.

“In post-war Ukraine, the private sector should become a driver of change. Together with business we are looking for new opportunities, building and rethinking joint plans and strategies,” the Head of Government said.

According to Denys Shmyhal, the President of Ukraine, the Government, diplomats are actively working to ensure that russian assets frozen in the West – more than USD 300 billion – are transferred for the reconstruction of our state. 

“We want to build an honest dialogue with business community. We have a single goal – victory and peace. And after that, we will open a new chapter where we will be united. It will be called the reconstruction, development and prosperity of Ukraine,” the Prime Minister noted.
