Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba and Head of the President’s Office Andriy Yermak arrived in Washington to prepare the official visit of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to the United States, which is scheduled for August 30.

This was announced by Dmytro Kuleba on Facebook, reports UA.

According to the minister, meetings are scheduled with the US President’s National Security Adviser Jacob Sullivan, Secretary of State Antony Blinken, senators and US analysts.

“Currently, the President of Ukraine is the second in Europe after the German Chancellor to visit the United States at the invitation of President Biden” – Kuleba said.

He noted that leaders of the United States and Ukraine have “a number of major topics” for discussion.

“Whatever they are, there will be no “raised tones” or some kind of blackmail. There will be a conversation between the allies who are working together to solve complex problems of security and prosperity of Ukraine, Europe and the Euro-Atlantic space” – wrote head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.

Dmytro Kuleba also stressed that it is important that Zelenskyy’s visit to the United States will take place immediately after “a large-scale international event in the history of Ukraine” – the summit of the “Crimean Platform”.

Earlier it was reported that the energy security, Russian aggression and reforms are the main topics that the presidents of Ukraine and the United States will discuss in Washington on August 30.
