This was announced on the air of “Channel 5” by the head of the Ukrainian State Film Agency Pylyp Illienko.
“Perhaps, the most significant premiere of the coming months will be the animation film “The Stolen Princess”. This is the second full-length 3D animated film in the history of Ukraine. And, apparently, it will be also a box office hitter, I hope. In general, before I was going to the program, we made a list of how many premiers will be this year, and we got a figure of 49. That’s a lot. We are not talking about feature, full length films; we are talking about different types of films, even documentaries. This is what will be shown in a wide or limited theatrical release. This number is inspiring me. I am sure that there will be box office hitters and festival achievements, which is why I’m eager to see the reaction of the Ukrainian audience, on these films,” said Illienko.
