The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a bill that provides for the out of court settlement of disputes through mediation.

Prime Minister Oleksiy Honcharuk wrote about this on his Telegram channel, reports Ukrinform.

“It will become possible to resolve disputes and conflicts out of court. The government has approved the bill ‘On mediation,’ which provides for extrajudicial settlement of disputes through a special person – the mediator,” Honcharuk wrote.

He added that the adoption of the bill would significantly reduce litigation time and costs for individuals and businesses, especially small and medium-sized businesses.

In August 2019, Ukraine signed the United Nations Convention on International Settlement Agreements.
