Today, June 15, the three-day G7 Summit begins in France, bringing together representatives of the world’s seven leading economies and the European Union, UATV English reports.

Russia’s war against Ukraine is expected to be one of the central topics of discussion. Leaders are also expected to address the opening of the first cluster in Ukraine’s negotiations on accession to the European Union.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will participate in the summit. He has confirmed that, alongside various negotiations and discussions, he is scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump.

Earlier reports indicated that the leaders of the United Kingdom, France, and Germany plan to discuss with Trump an updated approach to potential peace negotiations between Ukraine and Russia during consultations on the sidelines of the summit.
