Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski warned at an EU Foreign Ministers meeting that the dramatic developments in the Middle East will affect Russia’s war against Ukraine.
He emphasized that the escalation between Iran and Israel is driving up oil prices, which could strengthen Russia’s financial resilience. According to Sikorski, the Kremlin is already exploiting the situation in the Middle East to further its war efforts against Ukraine.
“The dramatic events in the Middle East will also influence this war. Especially since Russia has taken advantage of the situation to increase airstrikes and bombings. We have seen yet another day of death in Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities,” Sikorski said.
