President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen stated that the integration of the defense-industrial complexes of the EU and Ukraine is being intensified.

She made the corresponding statement on X, UATV English reports.

“Ukraine’s needs remain as urgent as ever. Our €90 billion EU loan provides vital financing for budgetary and defense needs,” von der Leyen wrote.

She added that the EU and Ukraine are integrating their defense industries.

“We are investing in drone production in Ukraine. And we are involving Ukraine in our European drone defense projects and the Air Shield,” the head of the European Commission noted.

As reported earlier, President of the European Council António Costa stated that European pressure on Russia will continue to achieve peace in Ukraine.
