Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko called on Ukrainian presidential contender Volodymyr Zelensky to undergo a medical examination on April 5, for debate preparation.
This was stated by the Poroshenko election headquarters spokesperson, Oleh Medvedev, during a briefing, Ukrinform reports.
“In preparation for the debate, Petro Poroshenko is waiting tomorrow at 9:00am for Volodymyr Zelensky at the Olimpiyskiy stadium medical center, which Zelensky himself chose for a debate, for the delivery of all necessary analyses, including for the use of alcohol and drugs,” he said.
According to Medvedev, this should be an independent examination of certified laboratories.
Zelensky invited Poroshenko to a debate before the second round of presidential elections scheduled for April 21 and gave him 24 hours to decide. Zelensky stressed that the debate should take place at the Olimpiyskiy Stadium in Kyiv, in the presence of all interested journalists and television channels.
This morning, Poroshenko posted a video addressed to Zelensky regarding the invitation to hold a presidential debate at the Olimpiyskiy National Sports Complex in Kyiv, which he accepted.
