Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk criticized Przemysław Czarnek, the prime ministerial candidate from the key opposition party “Law and Justice,” for calling to halt funding for aid to Ukraine, calling it “murderous politics.”

As UATV English reports, his words are cited by RMF24.

Tusk commented on Czarnek’s statements that Poland should “force the EU” to halt funding for weapons for Ukraine and its reconstruction, demanding concessions on historical issues.

Tusk called this “murderous politics and a competition in anti-Ukrainian sentiment.”

The Polish prime minister also stated that the incident involving insults directed at Ukrainian women on a bus in Bielsko-Biała was “a disgusting case that should not have happened.”

Poland’s Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski, following Czarnek’s statements, said he “wants to let Putin up to the Polish border”, and that the competition among “Law and Justice” politicians with more right-wing parties in anti-Ukrainian rhetoric “is depriving them of their senses.”

Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz made similar comments, saying his opponents are “behaving as if drugged”.
