Slovenia has announced an additional $50 million contribution to the Priority Ukraine Requirements List (PURL) initiative, which finances the delivery of U.S.-made weapons to Ukraine, UATV English reports.
The announcement was made by Slovenian Foreign and European Affairs Minister Tone Kajzer following the NATO summit in Ankara.
“At the NATO–Ukraine Council meeting, I reaffirmed Slovenia’s continued support for Ukraine. Slovenia will contribute an additional $50 million to the PURL initiative and will also co-finance the construction of three civil protection shelters,” Kajzer said.
He stressed that Slovenia remains committed to providing predictable, long-term, and sustainable support to Ukraine as it defends its freedom, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha welcomed the decision, thanking Slovenia for its continued solidarity.
“We highly appreciate Slovenia’s decision to provide an additional $50 million to the PURL initiative and to co-finance the construction of three civil protection shelters. This tangible assistance strengthens Ukraine’s resilience and demonstrates a long-term commitment to supporting our people,” Sybiha said.
At the NATO summit in Ankara, Allies pledged €140 billion in military assistance for Ukraine over 2026–2027 and formally recognized Ukraine as a contributor to transatlantic security.
