President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukraine seeks a just peace and a just end to the war, but until that is achieved, Russia should expect “just responses” to its attacks, UATV English reports.
“We are for a just peace, a just end to the war. But until that happens, we are for just responses,” Zelenskyy said, commenting on Ukraine’s response to Russia following its latest large-scale attack.
Later in the day, the Ukrainian president visited the site of a Russian strike in Kyiv’s Darnytskyi district, where search and rescue operations are still underway after a residential building was destroyed.
The visit was confirmed by Presidential Communications Adviser Dmytro Lytvyn.
According to the latest official figures, the death toll from Russia’s massive combined missile and drone attack on Kyiv has risen to 21. Rescue teams continue operations at seven locations across the capital, including two sites in the Darnytskyi district, where emergency crews are searching through the rubble of a destroyed nine-story apartment building and nearby private homes.
