Every Russian defense facility supporting the war against Ukraine is a legitimate target for Ukraine’s long-range operations, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

According to the president, FP-5 Flamingo missiles successfully struck the Titan-Barrikady defense enterprise in Volgograd overnight, UATV English reports.

The facility is a major industrial complex that manufactures artillery systems and specialized military equipment, including components for missile launchers used in attacks against Ukraine.

“There were confirmed strikes followed by a fire on the plant’s premises. I thank our Defense Forces warriors for their precision,” Zelenskyy said.

The president stressed that the reach of Ukraine’s long-range operations continues to expand and plays a key role in increasing pressure on Russia.

“The geography of Ukraine’s long-range sanctions continues to expand. It is our pressure that is laying the foundation every day for a just peace to ultimately be achieved,” Zelenskyy said.

He also thanked Ukrainian engineers and service members for strengthening the country’s long-range strike capabilities.
