President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has arrived in the United Kingdom for a series of high-level meetings with European leaders, focusing on security cooperation and diplomatic coordination on the war in Ukraine, UATV English reports, citing Zelenskyy’s social media.
According to the president, the visit includes bilateral talks with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, as well as a meeting in the E3+Ukraine format with French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.
“Today we are in the United Kingdom. We will have bilateral talks with Keir and a meeting in the E3 plus Ukraine format,” Zelenskyy said.
He noted that preparatory work had already been carried out at the team level, and the focus now is on reaching key agreements at the leadership level.
“The main priorities are our defense in the war, expanding cooperation for the security of all of Europe, particularly in air defense, and coordinating our shared vision on diplomatic prospects,” he said.
Zelenskyy emphasized that Europe must play a central role in any future negotiations and remain strong in its position.
“Europe must be part of the negotiations and must be strong,” he stressed.
The president also confirmed that a meeting with Charles III is scheduled for the following day.
Zelenskyy thanked the United Kingdom and international partners for their continued support, highlighting the importance of concrete actions to strengthen Ukraine’s defense and increase pressure on Russia.
“Russia must end this war,” he said.
The visit comes amid intensified diplomatic efforts among European leaders to coordinate security assistance and shape a unified approach to the war.
