Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with ambassadors of the G7 countries and heads of missions of the European Union and NATO in Ukraine to discuss reforms implementation and how to establish peace in Donbas.
“I thank the representatives of your countries for the constant support of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. Today is a very difficult situation, but you have a powerful, unchanging pro-Ukrainian position,” Zelensky said during the meeting, the presidential press service reported.
Zelensky thanked the diplomatic representatives for the participation in the snap parliament election to the Ukrainian Parliament as observers.
“This is not the first election in Ukraine that passes peacefully, democratically, and this is due, in particular, to international observers. Thank you for your help,” Zelensky said.
Foreign representatives expressed their readiness to provide broad support to the implementation of an ambitious reform program, which was announced by Zelensky earlier and should receive the necessary support for the new composition of the Ukrainian Parliament.
Zelensky also informed the participants of the meeting on the situation in Donbas and the last steps for dividing forces around Stanitsa Luhanska. He stressed that strict compliance with the ceasefire regime is a prerequisite for further progress in conflict resolution.
