Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed condolences to Afghanistan and the United States in connection with the terrorist attack

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed his condolences to the peoples of the United States and Afghanistan, to the families of all those killed in the terrorist attacks in Kabul, UA reports.

“Terrible terrorist attack in Kabul. Deep condolences to the peoples of the United States and Afghanistan, to the families of all those killed. I wish recovery to the wounded. Terrorism must be condemned by all parties in Afghanistan. We must work more actively with partners to evacuate those who need it” – he wrote.

The day before, explosions were recorded in the Afghan capital. One of the bombs was detonated by a suicide bomber, the others were placed in cars.

According to the Afghan Ministry of Health, at least 60 civilians and at least 12 U.S. Marines were killed and about 150 people – wounded. The Islamic State terrorist group claimed responsibility for the attack near the airport.

To remind, Ukraine has evacuated more than 250 its citizens, members of their families and foreigners from Afghanistan. Some 90 Ukrainians more and their families are waiting for the next evacuation flight.

Earlier, a number of sources reported the threat of a terrorist attack is growing every day at Kabul airport.
