The White House confirms that Ukraine is about to receive long-awaited military equipment from the US.

“The aid to Ukraine is already flowing. They are receiving security assistance now,” said the White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre during a press briefing on April 29.

She didn’t elaborate on the deliveries due to the security issues, but expressed her hope that the assistance would be quickly delivered directly to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

On April 24, the US Department of Defense announced a $1 billion US. military aid package for Ukraine which included artillery rounds, air defense munitions, anti-tank missiles, and armored vehicles to meet urgent needs of Ukraine after a pause in the US supplies.

Earlier, the US Congress approved the legislation allowing to proceed with the military support for Ukraine.
