Ukrainian court arrested 12 aircraft and 4 ships of the Russian Federation for violating the rules of international flights and navigation in the occupied Crimea.

This is reported by UA with reference to the Prosecutor’s Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.

That is about planes that have repeatedly transported passengers to occupied Simferopol, as well as ships that have entered the closed ports and terminals of the peninsula.

The investigation also found that at least 37 Russian airlines carry out regular air travel to the occupied Crimea, violating international law and Ukrainian legislation.

“All airports of the temporarily occupied territory are closed, the airspace over the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine is closed” – Yehor Rebrov, head of the department of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol commented.

According to him, the flights that are carried out on these territories, firstly, violate the legislation of Ukraine, and secondly, this is a violation of international legislation, including flight safety. All aircraft that currently fly to the temporarily occupied territory are aircraft of Russian airlines.

To remind, the Deputy Minister for the Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine Ihor Yaremenko is convinced that Russia must adhere to the norms of international law.
