Ukraine is responding justly to Russia’s attacks and its continued prolongation of the war, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said today, July 8, according to UATV English.

Speaking at the NATO Summit in Ankara, Zelenskyy said Ukraine’s long-range strikes had reached Russia’s Saratov region, Tatarstan, and Bashkortostan. He noted that the targeted areas are located approximately 800 km, 1,400 km, and 1,500 km from the front line. Ukrainian forces also struck targets in Russia’s Voronezh region, around 300 km from the Ukrainian border.

“I want to thank the warriors of the Unmanned Systems Forces, the Special Operations Forces, the Security Service of Ukraine, and our intelligence agencies for their precision. The Saratov oil refinery was hit. The Special Operations Forces also struck an oil refinery in Tatarstan. Russians must feel that it is their state that is waging this war,” Zelenskyy said.

As previously reported, operators of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces struck eight tankers belonging to Russia’s shadow fleet in the Sea of Azov during a single overnight operation.
