Ukraine’s Defense Forces are working to gain control over the skies above Russian-occupied Crimea and are already imposing a “logistical lockdown” on the peninsula, military expert Serhii Hrabskyi said on FREEДОМ TV.

According to Hrabskyi, Ukrainian forces are systematically targeting Russian radar systems, air defenses, and transport routes with cruise missiles and strike drones, while naval drones are capable of disrupting maritime supply lines, UATV English reports.

He said the goal is not to completely isolate Crimea, but to reduce the flow of ammunition, fuel, and supplies to a level insufficient to sustain Russian combat capabilities.

“We are creating conditions for the skies over Crimea to come under the full control of Ukraine’s Defense Forces,” Hrabskyi said.

The expert argued that increasing pressure on Russian logistics could make holding Crimea operationally untenable and force Russian troops into a chaotic withdrawal similar to previous retreats from Kyiv, Chernihiv, and Kherson regions.

Hrabskyi also suggested that the liberation of Crimea could become a trigger for renewed negotiations. According to him, regaining control of the peninsula would expand Ukraine’s operational reach and disrupt Russian-Iranian communications through the Caspian region, creating significant political consequences for Moscow.
