UA30 Cyber Center – what will it be

On May 13, within the frameworks of the “Ukraine 30. National Security” forum, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy presented the UA30 Cyber Center. This was reported by the correspondent of the UATV.

The task of this Cyber Center is to protect all registries that exist in Ukraine. A lot has already been already done in this direction, but till the year 2030 Ukraine should become one of the leading countries in terms of cyber defense.

During the presentation, Viktor Zhora, Deputy Head of the State Special Communications Service of Ukraine, noted that in recent weeks, experts have recorded about 500,000 suspicious events in Ukrainian cyberspace. Since the beginning of the year, 372 serious incidents have been processed.

The Cyber Center prepares a map of cyberattacks, passes information to other authorities and the public in order to prevent further attacks and provides advice on how to prevent them.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced opening of a new university in Ukraine, where cybersecurity specialists will be trained.
