The State Forestry Agency has sold timber for UAH 4 billion since August 1

Since August 1, the State Agency for Forest Resources has sold 1.37 million cubic meters of unprocessed timber worth over 4 billion hryvnias.

This is stated in the agency’s message on Facebook, UA reports.

Since the beginning of August, about 1.5 thousand trades have been held on the site of the Ukrainian Energy Exchange.

During the period from August 1 to September 30, 1.37 million cubic meters were sold in the amount of UAH 4.01 billion, including VAT.

“According to the results of 3 months of the market functioning under the new rules, the state received additional income by UAH 927.5 million (including VAT) more than the initial cost of unprocessed timber put up for auction” – the statement says.

The Cabinet of Ministers adopted a resolution “On the Unified Ecological Platform “EcoSystem”, which regulates the issues of the functioning of the unified ecological platform. It was launched by the Ministry of Environment Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine in test mode back in May 2021.
