Ukrainians are incredibly talented people who continue to surprise with their achievements. The National Register of Records of Ukraine, which was founded in 1989, is a project thanks to which every resident of the country can document his or her own record regardless of age and social status.

In January 2018, representatives of the National Register of Records recorded several surprising achievements, according to the Facebook page of the National Register of Records.

In particular, the record for the longest medical employment term was documented. A resident of Zaporizhzhia, Vira Rakytianska, recently celebrated her 90th anniversary, as well as a record anniversary of medical work – for a total of 72 years! For twenty-seven of them, Vira headed the Zaporizhzhia regional blood transfusion station, and now, despite her age, she directs her energies to the rescue of people.

Kharkiv Christmas tree also became one of the record holders. It was recognized as the highest in Ukraine (36.2 m), as tall as a 14-storey building! The tree was decorated with a garland of 50,000 light elements, and had two modes of colorful illumination – day and night ones. The New Year’s tree in Kyiv was recognized as the second highest in Ukraine – 29 meters, and the third place was taken by the Dnipro tree – 28 meters.
