28 countries have already confirmed their participation in the Crimean Platform summit. Ukraine managed to form the core of the international coalition for the liberation of Crimea. Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said this on July 28 during a briefing, UA reports.

According to him, Ukraine expects participation of the key international partners in the summit.

“In addition, 28 states have confirmed their participation in the Crimean Platforms. This will be an unprecedented international turn in the history of Ukraine.

The Minister specified that at present the Crimean Declaration, the final document of the summit, which will fix the fundamentally important provisions for Ukraine, has been almost agreed upon.

“This result confirms that we have managed to form the core of the international coalition for the liberation of Crimea” – the minister said.

Kuleba noted that the summit will not be a one-time event. Continuous work will be carried out at many levels.

According to him, the development of a long-term concept for the functioning of the “Crimean Platform” continues in five priority areas:

  • non-recognition policy;
  • sanctions;
  • security in the Azov-Black Sea region;
  • protection of human rights and international humanitarian law;
  • ecological and economic consequences of the occupation of Crimea by Russia.

“Crimea has already become a suitcase without a handle for Russia. The Crimean platform will turn it into an overwhelming burden” – the head of Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry stressed.
