The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine appointed Ruslan Stefanchuk as the new Speaker of Parliament at a meeting on October 8.

257 people’s deputies voted for.

Ruslan Stefanchuk, First Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, delegated by the “Servant of the People” faction, Oleksiy Honcharenko and Yana Zinkevych, deputies from the “European Solidarity” faction, applied for the relevant position.

Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy dismissed First Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk from his duties as his representative in parliament.

To remind, The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine recalled Razumkov from the post of speaker.
