President of France Emmanuel Macron supported the idea of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky to call the leaders of Normandy Four, the press office of Zelensky reported.
According to the report, Zelensky held a phone call with Macron and they discussed the death of four Ukrainian soldiers as a result of shelling in Donbas on August 6, 2019 near Pavlopil.
Zelensky also informed his French colleague about other elements of the plan for the restoration of peace which includes the repair of infrastructure elements, exchange of captives, etc.
According to the report, Macron responded positively to the idea of a meeting of the highest level and about the preparatory meetings. He also said that he is going to call Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel in this regard.

Reportedly, a representative of the German Foreign Ministry, Maria Adebahr, stated at a press briefing that Germany is deeply concerned about the death of the four Ukrainian soldiers.
Ukrinform also reported that German representatives also expressed willingness to negotiate with the newly elected government of Ukraine.
“We hope that we will proceed in the autumn,” the spokesperson of the German Foreign Office said, Ukrinform reports.
