NATO will discuss reform of the Ukrainian army and the Donbas situation

Chief of the General Staff and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Viktor Muzhenko will take part in the NATO Military Committee Session in Brussels.

“We will be informed about the state of development of the Armed Forces of Ukraine”-  Chairman of the NATO Military Committee Czech general Petr Pavel stated on January 16.

The session dedicated to discussion of Ukrainian issue will be held on January 17.  The Ukrainian side will also inform chiefs of the general staffs of the NATO Military Committee about the security situation in Ukraine.

During a two-day session chiefs of the general staff will focused on adaptation of the command structure of the Alliance in conditions of new and future security challenges and threats, the military operation in Afghanistan and participation in a global coalition of the fight against ISIL.
